JOB DESCRIPTION: Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurse

RI International’s Recovery Response Center in Fife, WA is a beautiful 16-bed facility providing short-term mental health support to residents of Pierce County and the surrounding area.

The Licensed Practical Nurse works closely with the registered nurse, the mental health professional, the resource specialist, and a team of peer support specialists in providing counseling and medication management for up to 16 guests experiencing mental health crises.

Regular duties of the LPN focus on medication management, admissions, discharges, therapeutic conversations, and documentation.

Occasional duties may also include arranging for prescriptions to be filled, bandaging superficial wounds, arranging transfers between facilities, and supporting guests during emotional outbursts.

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State.
• Ability to quickly analyze patient reports from referring hospitals.
• Experience with mental health, emergency department, or substance abuse preferred; but will train the right person.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical examination.
• Must successfully complete a Washington State Patrol background investigation.

Our 16-bed facility provides private rooms, meals, and psychiatric care at no cost to individuals needing support during a mental health or substance-use crisis. Recovery Response Center serves as a crisis alternative for first responders and emergency rooms in Pierce County.

We proudly implement a “no-force-first” policy in supporting our guests whose stay may range from 23 hours up to 14 days. We invite you to come make a difference by joining our team in touching lives in our community.

POOL INCENTIVE BONUSES

After 120 hours – $300 bonus

After 240 hours – additional $375 bonus

After 360 hours – additional $450 bonus

After each 120 hours thereafter – additional $450 bonus
